On a summer night in June 2022, the St. Albert Rugby Club Social Director approached Rob “Pepper” Patrick to arrange a small comedy show at their clubhouse to raise modest funds for their social club.
A week later, in the St. Albert Rugby Clubhouse in front of 47 club members, Funny Fundraising was born!
Since that summer night, Funny Fundraising has produced fundraising comedy shows for a wide range of organizations from youth sports teams, sports travel academies and minor sports associations to charity organizations, social benefits and community groups in front of audiences ranging from 50-to-400!
Rob has been actively involved in amateur athletics as a coach, board administrator and parent for over 20 years and has married his experience in sport with his avocation in event planning and stand-up comedy to create a fundraising initiative that is effective, effortless, profitable, unique and FUN for everyone!
Rob “Pepper” Patrick is the host of “The Pepper & Dylan Show”, one of Edmonton’s longest running and most successful morning radio shows.
Rob is actively involved with minor football as a coach and former President of the St. Albert Minor Football Association. Rob is also one of the proud founding builders of the Capital District U16 and U18 women’s tackle football program.
Rob is also a professional stand-up comedian having toured across Western Canada performing with some of the biggest names in Canadian stand-up comedy.
Rob’s personal goal is to use Funny Fundraising comedy events to raise $500,000 for community initiatives by December 2025.
